I have a Harken furler on my boat (20 years old) and the top of the foil got mangled up somehow - only a 5 foot section needs replacing but the foil section is no longer manufactured - do I really have to replace the whole ting (groan)?

Why don't you have a word with "that nice man" at XM Rigging Ltd, Haslar Marina, Gosport? He told me he could supply lengths of Rotostay foil, maybe he could also supply Harken. Might be worth a phone call.

I've got a couple of lengths of Rotostay foil but is that what you want because you say you've got a Harken furler

As you say, very helpful - apparently the foil section is unavailable so looks like I'm into min £1600 squids - bu88er!

Harken foil wanted

Try putting a post in the 'Wanted' forum - but put Harken in the title! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Someone may have good foils but a broken furling drum.
