Roller blinds

Looking to replace the old and worn curtains in the main cabin on the boat and just wondered about using these as an alternative?

Anyone have any experience of car roller blinds in a marine environment?

A fiver a pop seems like a good deal.

We use one horizontally under our forward hatch to provide a bit of sunshine filtering and a bit more privacy when rafted. From Halfords I think. Very effective.

Had them for years and transferred from boat to boat.
They come with suction cups so only come our when we want privacy or sleeping onboard. no need for drilling holes and permanent fixings.
No sign of corrosion yet. Bought ours from Halfords, must be at least 10yrs ago now. available in various sizes.
I know the likes of Mothercare sell the same thing.

for longer windows try salvageing the blinds from the parcel shelves of citroen xantias. loads of them in the scrap yards now. cant promise this will work but I am inspired to go looking myself.
