Hi

I am wondering if we have any owners of the above models on the forum? I would be interested to know of any direct experiences with any of them. Generally I have researched but looking for possible specific points and also, without causing controversy, what do we know about seasport marine- good, bad, ugly?

Many thanks

Kevin

As a Fairline owner can't comment on the boats but I believe that Seasport (which is / was part of Peters Plc) is no longer the Rodman dealer. The scuttlebutt is that Fairline and Rodman were too competitive but don't know if this is the real reason!

Hi

thanks for responding, as yet I havent actually got hold of any Rodman dealers it was just that the majority of listings seem to point towards Seasport as the Importer ( as you say part of Peters PLC) Peters PLC were the company i first spoke with when the Rodman 41 first came out at the 2000/1 ( I think) Southampton show.

I thought that these boats were more popular over here than they in fact seem to be. As far as I know their sea going capabilities are excellent which possibly made me think that they would sell a few over here.

The test in MBY a few years back seemed good but its not like having an owners viewpoint.

again thanks for your response

Hello
I can inform you ANCASTA are now the Distributor for the Cruiser line of Rodman Boats in the UK.

The Cruisers are indeed superb sea boats as are the Sports Fishing Boats we still Distribute successfully for Rodman.

If you are in the market for a boat, contact Hugh Rayner at Ancasta in Hamble le Rice he will arrange a demonstration for you.

All the best

Hi Kevin,

Give Robin a ring at Cambrian Boats Sales Swansea, They were, and as far as i can see by their Web site, still are Rodman Dealers, They also have a R38 for sale in there Used Section.
If you scroll down in there Home page you will see the Rodman Link.

Even if you don't want to buy a boat from them, its still worth speaking to them, Robins always happy to give out Information, If you do speak to him, tell him Alistair Richardson, sent you.

Cheers

Alistair.
