Rochester Pier, by the castle is but, Strood pier the othe side of the bridges by the sub is not in use.

At Rochester Pier you put a £1 in the machine as you leave which gives you a token to re enter the pier on your return.

Tim thats a super fast reply, so just to clarify the one that is open is the one next to rochester cruising club with the curved canopy entrance roof?
I ask as i need to pick up some friends and deposit them back afterwards to save them a long walk and my car is only a two seater and was hoping to be able to do so regardless of the tide.

Thanks again

The pier next to RCC is usable at all states of tide inc springs.
The inner gate requires token to regain floating pontoon.
The main upper gates are LOCKED between sunset and sunrise to prevent vandlism.
You cannot gain access to shore during this period unless in an emergency.
Be careful going through the bridge at LWS.
Need any further detailed info just ask. Fred

If you are picking them up on a weekday parking is free if they drive a little further up the road towards the field on the left with the church at the top..
