I have recently taken up caring for Bosun and am interested in what she has completed before we met.

If you have any information on previous owners and the expeditions she has taken part in I would be grateful to hear from you.

Thank you

Is that the 'Bosun' that was at Port Edgar all last year? New mast in 2005/6? If so, I can help - if not, I can't!

The 1969 Register of Yachts has the following info on a Robert Clark designed yacht called Bosun (I'll omit the loa etc info):-

Sail no 1851, RORC 26-16', tcf.8034, bsf 640.2
Built by Berthon Boat Co Ltd, Lymington in 1962
Coventry Victor 2 cyl petrol engine
Owner James L Gardener, Little Montrose, Catherine Road, , Surbiton, Surrey, who was a member of Hamble River Sailing Club, Island Sailing Club, Royal Navy Sailing Assoc, Royal Solent SC and Royal thames SC.

I delivered some sails to her cockpit for you... sorry, can't remember your name! But I do know that the person you bought her from knows her history a couple of owners back. Have you talked to him?

Thanks Shuggy

We spoke on the phone but didnt meet. I have used the sails so your journey was well worth while.

How are you getting on? Where have you got your boat? Bosun is at Fairlie. Ive had quite a few jobs done on her and am doing a considerable amount myself. Luckily I am now retired and have time to do stuff... so stuff I do. And there is lots of it.

Have lost contact details for Toby Clayton, who sold me Bosun. If you have his contact details could you let me have them and I will chat to him.

Thanks for your response.

Cheers

Frank

Thanks

Frank
