Does anyone know a pub in the Solent with a roaring log fire and good beer that we can thaw out in after a few days winter sail.My crew for this trip lives in Nigeria and will need some serious heat and beer to recover!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Also the King's Head in Yarmouth. Not sure if it has a fire (never noticed) but it's very cosy, the beer is good and the food is comfort eating of the highest order. Steak and Kidney pudding is particularly recommended

The dreaded Jolly Sailor at Bursledon

Otherwise as per the other posts. Look in at Yarmouth, there are several nice watering holes there.

Folly In up the Medina nice off season.

We had a good meal in the Bugle last summer!

I think King's head best though.
