Anyone got an idea as to how much a 10 metre MOBO would be on a truck from the south of France to a northern port such as Cherbourg?
Road Haulage for a boat through France?

45 ft, Le Grande Motte to Chichester... £3500 in 2004/5 .(return transport)... knock off £1000 if you put her in the water on French side and add on inflation etc...

Agree its over due. Cold be a good run, SoF to Spain - be rude not to stop in St Carles and see the crew there. Then its and easy run round the end, pop through Biscay and up the channel home in time for tea and medals. Might even have a pop at the ribbon time on the way back.
Shall I put you down as crew then Jimmy. Oh, did I mention its a Bavaria?....

A lot more than are imported from France to UK.
So a lot of manufacturers use hauliers who are looking for a return load.
If you are flexible about dates look for a haulier who can collect your boat in the next couple of months.

If it's 10m then does it follow that it's a sportcruiser? If so - what about up through the canals?

and you could always pop in to Duquesa for tea and scones, its just before that bl**dy great rock at the end of the med. TCM popped in and replenished his drink store a the same time

last year I was quoted 1900 euro ex 19% VAT (and ex craning costs etc) from SOF (Nice) to Amsterdam by road for a 10 meter MOBO by this company
