Heard on the radio (BBC ESSEX) this morning that the Essex RNLI are looking for volunteers to "give advise" to people using the launching ramps around the coast this summer. The idear is to reduce callouts by giving information on safety.Full training and sweatshirt given.
Have a couple of hours spare ? Interested?

will they also supply crash helmets and earplugs to deal with the normal response to grauitous advice?

during discussions on radio cornwall about beach safety yesterday i heard that lifeguards down here are routinely told to 'f off' when warning people about dangers.

I can just imagine the response from the Romford Navy to advice that they really should have lifejackets/bouyancy aids with them, and that they should observe the speed limits in the area!

Are the RNLI providing volunteers with minders?

Oh dear. I fear that TCM has been lossed below the North/South divide. He's been brainwashed into believing that he's a southerner... mind I reckon he's been to acting school too.

Quick - afore it's too late - I'm sure repatriation could be arranged and normality treatment is surely available on the NHS....

Now, click your heels together three times and shout "Get tha coit thas ofta Leeds"...
