Just to close out on the jumble - I had a set of sails donated by another forum member which we were having trouble shifting. A member of the RSA has taken the headsail and will be making a direct donation to the Burnham RNLI.

The Mainsail has gone to the big sail loft in the sky as it was shot.

Patrick

Also posted in the lounge coz i'm stoopid :rolleyes:

If anyone has a wheely wheely big sail which is no use for sailing purposes, give me a shout please, I have a plan which makes use of such a thing ;)
Bigger the better, and not for boat use :cool:

Hi Patrick
You're reading my mind :eek::D
Only thought of the idea quite recently but it's an alternative use for an old sail, using two anchor points on a building and taking a line out to an anchor point in the garden I could get quite a large outdoor sheltered area. Bet someone nicks my idea now though :o:D

Been there, done that.
Tied the foot of a large old genoa thought two 1st floor windows and pulled the head out to the end of the large shed in the garden.

That made a large covered area for a Car Club BBQ :)

Dave,
you can have the Genoa from Full Circle. Swap it for, oooh, lets say 2 pints and a packet of crisps.
And a fiver for the RNLI.

Hi Jim
You're on and I'll up the crisps to something a bit more fitting. You aiming our way any time soon ?. Man flu plague zone at the moment but should be clear before the rush. Plan is to do as Clive, got the idea from some woodland play area near Norwich, got dragged off to it some time ago and thought it might work well here
