Rivnuts in mast - which type?

I intend to mount an extra cleat on my mast, and have decided to use rivnuts.

The cleat will be mounted with M6 s/s socket head set screws.

The question I have is this. Do I use s/s rivnuts with plenty of chromate paste in the mast or aluminium rivnuts and rely on chromate paste on the threads of the set screw?

I have made alloy masts from kits and worked on others; always used stainless fastenings ( apart from monel pop rivets ) and never had a problem, always used plenty of Duralac zinc chromate.

Aluninium Rivnuts are used by most spar companies, will not corrode and easy to drill out if need be. If you can find Rivnuts that are counter sunk even better as the cleat will fit flush to the section. Hope this helps.
