EXCLUSIVE preview of one of my favorite medium sized cruisers just got better thanks to IPS
really lucky to be among to view this first in Europe too have a look here

really a nice boat, spacious living, cabins, and engineroom
quality looked good too
you got to love the patio door similar to Ferretti which opens all and makes this a sunshine boat in a couple of mins

PY,

I already really liked the 3600, but with the new cabin layout that seems a winner. The rear cabin with 3 berths is very useful and with IPS efficiency it seems spot on.

So is it about €300k?

I hope the 3600 kicks a few goals for the company. I wonder how the hardtop will go over in the UK? Seems the Brit. sports boaters like the canvas option.

Where is the demo boat now?

yes Nautorius but dont compare it to other 36/38 footers to compare it you need to measure it with 40 feet plus boats, as it gives so much more value and is really an all year round boat
other plus points are the engine room which is spacious I would call it huge too
think of this one I went aboard has a 6 kw genny, water maker, and an extra 200 litre tank and really you could easily work on those volvos and I just opened the hatch in the cockpit for this, you can also open all the cockpit floor hydrualically if you want
is so perfect! If you have this budget I really would jump on this boat...

Were you impressed with the quality?

Also, for any hot region, are fixed saloon sides a negative? I understand at that size a fly could feel tippy, a sports cruiser's saloon could feel like captain caveman's home and the Riviera strikes a good balance. I prefer being outdoors and having open sides for the breeze. It's nice to have the option to retreat to aircon, but I prefer to keep that as an option on a still day.

I agree that the layout is rather unique, but I also have reservations on the finish (might have improved now).

She reminds me of a Sovran, but I'd prefer the Tiara (agreed the single level saloon/cockpit transition is way nicer on the Riviera).

really Tiara are a high quality mark for everyone and I think when it comes to glass and strength they are a bench mark Full Stop
finishing I saw good quality which can compare to most EURO builders
surely there are better boats out there but for example the engine room is well made and makes other boats with smaller engines looks quite crapy
the wood is well finished too in semi matt cherry, stainless fitting outside are top class too with thick stainless etc
but somehow I felt an extra half step could be made but I dont know what it is....
then I am someone who with the glitsy and gloomy will not be impressed and prefare to see other things before saying this is well made, and those other things on the Riviera are there

I see the Riviera as more like a use me kind of quality then one of look and dont touch, and this personally I like a lot...

I'm impressed that you are impressed PY............ If they can get the pricing competetive, and lets face it, thats right up there in the list of priorities, they could be in with a chance!

really is not the first Riviera that impresses me
I think price for the 3600 SY is not bad considering 1) it is an IPS boat 2) it is a bit larger then actually is and feels also so 3) you have an all round boat to use all year round

but then saying all this I like the boat from outside so may be I am biased by this too...
