You seem to have Googled it as I did.? Quite a few hits, mostly aircraft usage plus the Scanstrut ones but no clues as to material. I think it is safe to assume they are monel.

Thankyou. So 4.8 is millimetres and equivalent to 3/16th dia but what does the 17 in the spec refer to? Length presumably?
