So we just had to make the most of the autumn sunshine and a trip out in company for another BBQ seemed the perfect way to enjoy a stunning weekend. Thankfully the weed between Lincoln and Fiskerton has subsided but by all accounts it is still rife below Bardney. Still we had a great weekend of relaxing in the sunshine.

Mostly. You very rarely come across many other boats on the move. Its great, we can come and go as we please. This weekend was busier, mostly butterfly boaters (only come out when the sun shines), but most of them only made it to the pub (half mile from the marina) so we still had the rest of the river to play with.

But Shh we dont want everyone finding out:D

There was a meeting recently with the EA,BW, Boston Council, the waterways partnership and the IWA and they are trying to raise funds for a super dooper weed clearer. The stretch from Langrick to Boston needs to be cleared for a rowing event towards the end of the year

Sod the bloody rowing event.

What about the rest of us who are paying to keep our boats on a stretch of waterway that is very close to being unnavigable?

How did you know we had taken the newbies out? :D

They were still suffering on Sunday was a clue it was you who took them down river !!!

The lady who instigated the the meeting is a boater at Belle isle and is trying her best to drive the weed clearance forward
