The official British Marine app, River Thames Guide, has been updated and is releasing over the next 24 hours.
Changes and updates:
Added River Wey and its features and facilities
Added loads more pubs on or close to the river
Added option to display Thames Path on map
Reduced the app load time to help with older devices timing out
Moved 'Facilites' popup to centre of screen for easier use
Improved the display of the river when tapping the 'highlighter'
Reduced image sizes (without losing quality) for faster loading
Differentiate between water tap and water hose at locks
Fixed an issue where map would not scroll after showing your location
Improved geolocation message display
Made the map context sensitive help more small screen friendly
Heading (when available) shows Cardinal as well as Degrees
(The iOS version is ready for iOS 11 and iPhone X).
The Apple versions for iPhone, iPad, iPod and Mac should roll out later today and existing users will see the upgrade in the App Store. The Amazon version upgrade will be rolled out tomorrow.
The full Android version (River Thames Guide) can be downloaded from the support site (www.riverthamesguide.net) the lite Android version should be available later this week.
