The 2014 version of the free App River Thames Guide is now available to download (or upgrade) in the App Store:
http://appstore.com/riverthamesguide
New features include an optional overlay for River Thames SLIPWAYS (with phone number, where available; charge, if any; and post code, for sat nav). You can now have any combination of boatyards, marinas, food, lodging, slipways, bridges and moorings overlaid on the standard map with locks (plus your own position if needed).
Many of the entries have been updated with new and additional information (tap any starred icon for an example) including tap-to-dial phone numbers (on iPhone version).
In addition to the map and overlays, the information on locks (14 items of information on every lock including facilities and lock-keeper hours), bridges (headway) and more has been updated.
The guide (which works on the iPad, iPhone, iPad mini and iPod) remains free to download and use and provides navigation information (all maps and overlays) without the need for an internet connection.
Enjoy!
PS the App was incorrectly marked as costing £2.49 when released by Apple this morning (2 Jan) - if you do not see that it is FREE then please refresh your iTunes window (or wait a few minutes) - as of 1400 on Jan 2 I have updated the price to FREE but the change has yet to ripple through the Apple servers
PPS checked again at 1430 (2 Jan) and App now correctly showing as FREE to download...
