On the opening day of the London Boat Show, the official BMF app, River Thames Guide, has been updated and improved (largely resulting from user feedback).
Changes this time include:
if you use an Apple version (for iOS or Mac) your update will appear in the App Store to be downloaded when you are ready. If you use River Thames Guide Lite on Android (from Google Play) your update will also be offered through your App Store; similar for the Amazon Fire version of River Thames Guide. If you prefer the full version (River Thames Guide) on Android or Windows 10 you will need to reinstall from the support site (www.riverthamesguide.net).
If you are planning to use the app for the first time, then the full version is recommended; although both versions have the same functionality, River Thames Guide has the maps built-in so does not need an Internet connection (its a large download but is quicker in use). Download links for all version can be found on the support site (www.riverthamesguide.net). The app remains free to use and does not contain any adverts.
The latest changes really are based on feedback from enthusiastic users - so please do let me know if there are any features you would like added or improved (I will be at the LBS tomorrow, Thursday, if you would like to meet and discuss the app please send a PM).
