When: Friday 22 May 2015 – 13.00 to 17.30 and Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30 May 2015 – 11.30 to 19.00
Where: Iffley Reach, Iffley Lock to Folly Bridge
What’s happening: Rowing On and Summer Eights
Racing will be held at half-hourly intervals. Whilst racing is in progress, the marshals may request boaters to moor at one of the designated mooring points and wait, for a period of no longer than 15 minutes until the current race has finished, before proceeding up or downstream through the course. Mooring is prohibited between the Isis public house and Longbridges on the West, towpath side of the river from 12.00 on Tuesday 26 May to 18.00 on Saturday 30 May 2015. We apologise for the late issue of the notice of the practice event to Summer Eights, Rowing On, which is taking place tomorrow afternoon. We will have a patrol boat in the area for this event which is on a much smaller scale than Summer Eights.

For those who don't know, "Rowing On" is a qualification event rather than a practice per se: it's when crews compete for places in the lower racing divisions. That means that most of the rowers and coxes will be inexperienced, which is perhaps something for passing boaters to bear in mind.
