Hoping to go to Scotland for holidays as previous post suggests, but as an alternative,if weather outlook bad up there and good down south looking at River Medway.
Can anyone tell me how many navigable miles is the Medway, don't mind tidal or non tidal.
Are there any very low bridges or any other restrictions.
Thanks alot
Cindy

You should be able to get to Tonbridge with your boat.Need a min of 3 days each way or pref more as you have a over a dozen + locks to get through and unlike the woofters on the Thames you have got to work them yourself.Bit shallow in places above Yalding in one or two places.Have seen some big boats in the upper bits so yours will go ok.If you need some pub/food advice just ask.Ooh and the bit which puts off the less adventurous is the section up to Maidstone just take it slow and keep and eye out for the floating debris.Go through Rochester Bridge about 2 hours BHW.Will be going up to Maidstone for the river festival on 27th of July if any one else is around.
Burgee will be flown.

And the weather for the weekend is...............
