Sunday 9am: I can't see Penton Lock from here unless I hang off Doolittle with a flying trapeze... but no change in the flow from yesterday and the level may have dropped a tad.

The rowers are not out - if that be any guide on the matter.

9:15 Correction: Hells teeth, they are out!! Mad fools!

Still up but looking out it has definitely peaked here at Marlow. Will walk down to the lock for any info shortly

That's because they don't obey the speed limits, and can punch the rip!

Just be told that Bell Weir has dropped to Amber, but Penton is staying on Red for the day. Will wander up to the Penton office and enquire later.

It's a lot slower just above PH now, reds or no reds. still a fairly strong stream, but quite a few boats going up and down.

Reds from Marlow down to Boulters. But Bray on Yellows now. Loads of boats came out going upstream from Boulters but it is still a very strong flow out there. Got back to the safety of Bray marina now

Just had to move the boat to the back of the island as we're having the tree she's moored under pollarded next week, so decided to have a little run. The stream is very strong. I followed an NB up to BW. The lock keeper was very patiently waiting for him, but I think he could have cycled the lock by the time the NB was going to get there.

Turning around and running through Staines was quite entertaining. Decided not to do a run through PH, though the stream was a lot slower there (I turned around before where the weir pulls you).

Heading back up river got quite hard work. The old girl hasn't been run on high revs for a long time and she smoked a bit (petrol decoke?).

No rowers about. Just a few speeding ducks.
