River Deben (in Suffolk UK) Bar at low water 14th December 2021

We recently bought a new to us small motor Home to hopefully tow our smaller boats to various locations.

Our first very modest trip out was to Felixstowe in Suffolk. I had promised on here that when I got a chance I would make a drone video of how the River Deben Bar is this winter. Today the tides were right so off we went and did the Video.

You will see that the green buoy is very close indeed to the sand spit and actually behind it a little.

I am hoping that the bar isn’t too badly affected by winter storms - we want to get back in early next season!

An interesting 10 mins going through there, especially with bracing onshore wind .
