NOTICE TO MARINERS No 6 of 2013
Wallasea Jetty – Turning Circle
Please be advised that two berths at Wallasea Jetty will become operational
as from this weekend 1st June 2013. Mariners are advised that the volume of
commercial traffic to the Wallasea Jetty will increase.
Mariners are warned that anchoring is strictly forbidden by any vessel
(other than those required to do so to assist their swing) within the
designated turning circle.
The turning circle is marked by the following buoys:-
I) Lit Yellow Special Mark Pillar Buoy with Topmark Flashing Yellow 5
seconds in approximate position
51° 37.18N
000° 50.18E
2) Lit Yellow Special Mark Pillar Buoy with Topmark Flashing Yellow 5
seconds in approximate position
51°37.24N
000°50.29E
3) Lit Yellow Special Mark Pillar Buoy with Topmark Flashing Yellow 5
seconds in approximate position
51°37.18N
000°50.50E
All vessels should further avoid entering the turning area whilst commercial
vessels are manoeuvring.
