River Baïse

I have, at long last, put together a page of information about this delightful navigable river (well, 60+km of it) in Gascony.

Have many happy memories of the French waterways and Grehan is time served in that respect. Spent a couple of days in the, then new basin, in Verdun right in the center of the town. Went to the tourist office to pay and told it was free including leccy. When I asked why it was free the lady said because the river is nothing without boats. Slightly different view of boats over here !! Henley

What I didn't realise, until I did a bit of research today, is that there is whole world of difference between Baïse and baise . . . . . and considering Condom is on the river I guess that's somewhat appropriate.
