Rival 32 Spray Hood

I'm after getting a Spray Hood made for a Rival 32 but the company who made the sails cant make a hood while the boat is in liverpool and there is no one in this area who can make them.

This is a longshot i know but..

Would anyone have a Rival 32 around Lymington they would allow sanders sails to use as a templet?
Or better still is anyone in that area buying a new spray hood? If so who is making it. I may be able to order one off the company at the same time?

Try C&J Marine in Chichester. They will almost certainlly have done one in the past.

Sanders have done them before but they dont keep the templets.
But probably worth a try.

well, I got a quote from C&J for my boat and they showed my photos of completed hoods and said they kept all the details. Top spec on a 37 footer was about £850 plus VAT but expect you could get a discount at this time of year - say you saw them at the Boat Show and could you have the Show deal!

Have you considered trying the Rival Owners forum ? You have to join but they do have loads of details and many owners with techie info

Yes there is one on there for sale.
I contacted the owner and he never got back to me.

Phoned C&J and they can do me a made to measure one for £550+vat that comes with the bars.

Its probably eaiser to go with them and have a nice new one.

What are there hoods like? Are they nice and tight?

I have a R32 with a hood made by C&J. Construction just fine, no problems after 5 years. Make sure you tell them whether your R32 is a later mk3 model or an earlier boat - the coachroof is different on the Mk3 and requires a different spray hood fit. They discovered this when they came to fit a hood to my early R32 which they had made using a template that they already had on file derived from a Mk 3 boat.
