We went with friends three years ago, it is a beautiful country & the Risor festival is superb. A wonderful day out.

Yes a fantastic festival, in lovely scenery. There are a couple of other attractions, the place is riddled with WW2 bunkers, and the Colin Archer museum is on the way down from Oslo, in Larvik.
My wooden boat is in Risør right now, where she was made 60 years ago.
Norwegian Air is much better than Ryanair btw, and will be just as cheap if you book soon.
