We met Pete when we first got to the Algarve in 2013 ish. Became good friends. He crossed the Atlantic twice single handed. When I asked him what he did at night on the crossing he said, went to sleep!
He was a character, superb sailor, usually based in Bruces Yard but opted for Lagos this winter.
