I've been asked by the family to pass on the sad news that Peter passed away on Saturday after his long battle with illness

A reliably sensible poster, and the way he dealt with his uncertain future has left a lasting impression on me.

A thoughtful member who always made a lot of sense. The way he dealt with and faced up to his medical problems was admirable. RIP Peter, I felt I knew him although we never met. Some people have that ability to engage with humility, humour and knowledge , a rare combunation.

Never met Peter but exchanged medically related info. He came across as a lovely chap: thoughtful, lucid, intelligent, stoic, insightful, accepting
