Rip off?

I am trying find a replacement magnetron for my Furuno 1720 radar. I have been quoted £358 from Furuno, which sounds like a monumental rip off. Does anyone know of a cheaper source?

Ebay, you can buy a newer radome for a lot less.

I need the same thing, i think a lot of people do as the bidding on ebay for old Furuno radars tends to push the price up pretty high.

What newer radomes will work?

Try JG Tech - they can source radar spares, though don'ty know if they will be any cheaper...

I have a Furuno radome sitting in my mum's garage (has to be 24") if its of any use to you i'm sure we could come to an arrangment

Must be from a tubed display...but the magnetron might be the same
