a) for everyone who doubts, Happy1 exists, many of us have met him, so no more posts on that subject. Thanks.

b) to Happy1, if I see one more post questioning validity of this forum I will skweeem and skweeem. Thanks.

c) To Deleted User, I see you searched the whole of the Internet for tides and only found 7 days ahead. Click on weather and tides above and you get 14 days which is not brilliant but better in terms of actual tables than anywhere else. Yes folks it's here right on your doorstep and has been for two years. We pay for them so please use them.

And in general terms...I really would like a peaceful and fun Christmas. So kick the dog, throw a dart at someone's picture, punch the door, clatter the saucepans before you fill them with sprouts and swede...anything but please keep your pent-up pre-seasonal syndrome stuff out of here, pleeeeease?

Can we have an annual Panto forum please. Then we can all go and be stupid, though I won't be able to post on it until later, as I'm just heading off to the boat!

Kim, could you confirm that a thread has been removed, I couldn't find one I was looking for, although it was here over the weekend. Seems to have fallen off somewhere!

I also noticed a couple of replies to my post about Garmin Streetpilot III, have been removed.

Can you tell me why? Please.

I didn't like the tone of the reply to one of your posts which seemed aggressive to the point of guaranteering a fight. Since been explained that you are all good mates and it was all meant in jest etc etc...but I cannot rejoin it even if I thought a good idea.

Everyone was a newbie once. Forget all the "knockers" they'll soon get bored and start talking in the back of the class again.

I dont have a clue whats gone on here, but I am sure whatever has been said was only in jest. It takes a little time to get your head around the type of humour that is on the forum and could be a bit tiresome if your not on its wavelength yet. But keep in there.

I'm sad to read your post. This can be a daunting place but there are some good people out there with sound advice. I've met a few in person and we all got a long just fine.

Stick it out and poke a bit of fun back at the ones that don't answer the question you raised and just criticise and if it all gets out of hand the folks concerned will get Kim Whipped /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Best regards

Peter

Right .. that's a bit of usefull information .. does Kim enjoy being whipped or is it a punishment .. hope its done the naval way, strapped to a gtating and flogged to within an inch of his miserable life .. then a couple of bottles of Lamb's a few sea shanties ... aye that's when Britain went downhill, as soon as the rum ration ceased;-(

<hr width=100% size=1>.. when's that again, but ..

Fourmtee abuse .. whit on earth is that? Four men on a tee swearing? Sounds good fun .. lot more than all these heavy introspective, navel gazing personal attack sniping that's been going on ... oh for the good old days when there was lot of fun and humour ...

Dear Lady Jane,

You only signed on a couple of weeks ago, hardly time to come to grips with the diverse mob in this forum.

Most of us spend quite a bit time scanning the posts in an effort to save some poor soul from making the inevitable mistakes we have all made (Or will make soon).

Anyone can log on, so Kim and the crew have little control over what is displayed, but do a pretty good job of removing the bad eggs in short time.

Now, just because you asked a simple (and polite) question about another member, and got flamed, is of no consequence, Indeed, I suspect others may have wanted to ask the same question at some time.

So; hang in there, show them some girl power and provide some feminine balance to the forum.

Don't mind Kim's comments, he works all the hours god sends, is paid a lot less than most here, and has to read all the rubbish posted by the 'out of control' peeps. No wonder the poor bloke has his moments, I think I would go nuts in week doing his job.

Anyway, I'm sure Sally will benefit from the multitude of answers to your questions, saving both of time and money...

Merry Christmas to all.......

Wrong, wrong, wrong!!!

You're wrong, didn't see your post as questioning H1's existence, I did that earlier this year!

Newbies are encouraged to participate, stick around and enjoy. We need people like you.

Agree with ljs. Hang in there, its not you, you were unlucky enough to touch on a subject which divides opinion on this forum
