...it is happening! Well a neighbour of mine was telling me about a month ago he had finally saved up enough to buy a nearly new AM DB9! On Monday he turned up with a 3 year old BMW 330i! He said he did not want too seem too flash when his neighbours were strugling and some were unemployed (me!) I think he was basically saying I am keeping my dosh in the bank!

But a yacht is miles away......

Bizarre!

Ignore it, I parted with cash today, serious cash..my neighbour had a ham and cheese panini at £3.10 I felt bad when I out lunched him with a box of serious sushi at £6.15...

Joking aside you can pay a little bit over the odds for lunch but no more than any other outside event or you can buy a sandwich from the news-agent type stores within or just on the outside for less than most high street sandwich stores. My point being its not that expensive if you choose wisely.

Changing the subject (again) I did not see one forumite today, where were you all, enjoying the free hospitality I guess...

What do you want to see?

If you can commute easily then yes there is plenty to see, things you want, things you need, things you dont need, things you dont want, things you cant afford, things you can afford but dont need the list goes on besides I dont have a photographer tomorrow so come along in case I need a snap!

Joking aside if you do show make yourself know and I am sure we can squeeze a beer in...

I love to go, but everytime I go, I come back dissapointed!

SIBS, ended up buying two cup holders....... looked at the new Ben 31 and 33 , distinctly unimpressed, looked at the new Hanse, unimpressed....

I want to get that "Must have that!!! " feeling again... The only thing I have seen which has done that recently for me was the Finngulf 33... and with the pound going south faster than my savings are going up...... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

But theres nothing that improves on my 80's P35. Ok it might go a bit faster, but the accomadation goes worse. Sorry. nothing in the boat show for me.

well regardless of all the doom and gloom, I am still going (if only to get away from SWMBO for a couple of days), and I have a shopping list, and I have my christmas money, so not sure if it will run to a new boat, but certainly the electronics suppliers better be ready. But from what Richard says I will be taking my own sandwiches!

those who have been there yesterday might have enjoyed a great discount already, but it is important to conclude as fast as possible
if order books get filled the price given on the 11 want be valid for the 15.....
just stop moaning here and move on...

Poweryacht,

You have more chance of winning the Lottery than seeing full order books at SIBS. The UK (especially London) is seeing a retranchment of expenditure. Yes, some boats will be sold but I guess there will be less bonus realted/spur of the moment purchases!

A lot of time to try and get a bargain.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
