Rigging Crimping Tool

Does anyone know if these crimping tools can be hired? Decent ones are over a hundred quid to buy and I'd only need one for a day. I'm shortening some s/s shrouds and need to crimp copper ferrules around thimbles.
Any info would be appreciated.

Ormistron make a device that has two metal plates with matched rececesses to suit various talurit copper thimbles for wire up to 4mm. To squeeze the thimble onto the wire two bolts are tightened. They cost about £40. I got mine, and the ferrules, from a chandler in Essex. I believe that they are widely available.
