Riggers

I am looking for a suitably qualitfied rigger to give my Standing Rigging a once over as well as do a few little bits and bobs. Does anyone here have any reccomendations for riggers in the Portsmouth area, bearing in mind that I contacted a local rigger who simply never got back to me despite a follow up phone call from myself to remind him that I was still waiting on his call !!!!!

Dont these people want work ??

There's a place at Haslar - XW Rigging. Cant speak for their services though.

Some are OK - some are shambolic.

If you are in the Chichester area - Chris Holman - based in Chichester Marina. I think he only works on boats within the Marina.

Don't use some one beginning with S from Hayling - falls into the incompetant couldn't run a piss up category.

Otherwise the riggers from Alladins Cave up the Hamble are good - but again - you have to take the boat there.

Used Performance Rigging in Hamble Point to replace standing rigging - seemed very competant and efficient, worth a call, number should be on www.yell.co.uk.
