Richmond Lock charges

I have heard that the PLA are considering charging for the use of Richmond Lock after their staff have suffered abuse from the public after hours. This may be just after hours charges to discourage the use of the lock by unsavoury persons. Get your protests in now.

They always used to charge for pleasure boats , then they stopped it and now only charge passenger boats.

I doubt whether they would re-instate it ( but i will check when i return to work and let you know ) .

As far as I was aware one always paid to use Richmond. When did it stop?

A few years back they stopped charging for pleasure boats.
