The article doesn't the proprietor does!
Even if it was a charitable ride but you still have a duty of care towards your non paying guests. I suspect that someone is going to get a ticking off from the MCA.
There was no way there were any "freak waves" on the straits on Sunday afternoon/ evening between Bangor and Caernarfon.
The only waves I saw were from the visitors on the Balmoral as she gracefully passed me on her way from Menai Bridge to Caernarfon.

Care to share your interest or exactly what axe it is you have to grind?
Jez, probably no axe to grind. But if the vessel is coded, irrespective of charging then the MAIB should be notified. This incident involved injury on a coded vessel.
I don't doubt or disagree with that. In fact who says they haven't? The OP seems to want to make a point about the company and it's unclear exactly why

I have had some interesting PMs on the matter. The operator must involve MAIB. I say no more.
Depends on how you care to read "say no more". It could mean as you suggest, or it could mean "my point made".Does anyone else find this sort of thing irritating on a public forum. It is ... public.
If you want to "say no more" then surely don't bother to say anything in the first place. The "say no more" is simply innuendo for I know more than you and I want to imply something about someone else.
If someone feels that strongly then call the MAIB and be done with it. Tittle Tattle on the forum is best left to the lounge!
