RIB trip: Southampton to Salcombe - August 2021

Seeking any other RIB owners who maybe looking to join a trip from Southampton to Salcombe in mid August (2021). I have an 8m /350hp and, weather dependent, will be doing this trip returning a week later. Aim to average 25/30knts no stop overs...

Choose your weather window and tides carefully. I was in Salcombe last summer. A open sports boat, a Windy I think, arrived one evening and rafted against us. They’d just done a non-stop trip from the Hamble. They were all soaked and freezing. The skipper admitted they’d had wind over tide most of the way and had to take the longer inside route across Lyme Bay. Not my idea of fun - or theirs it seemed.

Many thanks Switch for response. Fully agreed and will only be going if weather / tidal streams are favourable. If needed be, we would run it in stages...
