Rule 1
There are no rules
Rule 2
If in doubt, see rule 1.

There are no members, no committee, no subscriptions, no club house except the whole of the East Coast (boundary commission to report back in 2062 to define East Coast) and any bit of coast you happen to come from, live in or sail in.
Events are posted here, and you come, or not. We never knowingly book anywhere that needs a deposit, because we have a peculiar habit of arriving by water. Or not if you prefer.
There are no leaders, no clique, no funny handshakes and anyone is welcome boat owner or not.
Although we do have events which appear to have taken on traditional status, their format, except Pirate weekend, is open.

We usually, and I use the term loosely, have the following events

Fitting Up supper, normally early April, could be anywhere

Oostende last weekend in May

Pirate weekend usually 1st weekend July Walton Backwaters, Stone Point.

Laying Down Supper, Octoberish, also could be anywhere.

In between lots of people meet up for barbecues, nights at anchor anything in fact.

Some crewing for racing, as do a couple of others, never seriously.

If you have an idea, pipe up.

There is a YBW burgee if you wish, which is also a pee take.

Hope that covers it.
Anyone can suggest a meeting or do, just post your idea and let it roll.

As politeness and good manners are free, we tend to use them a lot round here.

You couldn't hope to meet a nicer bunch.

In addition there is a lot of moral support, practical advice and light hearted banter.

Where did my reply go? Anyway I just wanted to add that this corner of the YBW fora(sp?) is like a comfy armchair or a corner of a local pub. Nice people and friendly atmosphere. Now I own Rose and have willing crew aplenty, I hope to meet at least some of you this season.

One question though. Why did Fullcircle repeat the rules three times? An age thing? Or did I miss something?

Steve
