It was widely accepted that attendance at the London boat show was down by 30% this year, so this is what is being done to rectify, falling visiting numbers for next years show, Very Very Impressive!!

Sorry to be disingenuous, but I'm underwhelmed. No mention of asking the punters....

O.K. BMF is a trade organization, and the member pay to exhibit, but polling the visitors might be an idea.

Pah, not going to LIBs again I wasn't impressed, for the amount it cost me to go to LIBs I could have gone to Boot Dusseldorf, which is where I'm going next year.

Bigger show, lots of chandlery and best of all you can even step on the boats without a bloody appointment.

That the numbers were down this year against last cannot have been unexpected by the BMF. The 2004 Show attracted many "rubbernecks" who neither know or want to know about boats. They were there for the novelty.

I suspect that the Trade may have been pleased with the reduction in numbers enabling them to get on with serious business. Obviously the organisers would have been disappointed with the loss of a percentage of visitor revenue.

If any Trade Exhibitors are reading these posts their views and experiences regarding visitor numbers and quality would be very interesting.
