rev counter for volvo.

With the led display on these instruments the sunlight makes
the led fade and eventually disappear.
Volvo do not make covers for these instrument unlike Raymarine etc

Does any one have any ideas for a solution?

I take it you are talking about the hours meter.
I've just replaced mine this week with a RS hours meter. If you have patience and soldering skills it's a very satifying little job (done at home)

I wish I could they are sealed units and are link to the EVC system,am sorry should have said
these are d9 engines,thanks for your reply.

Not heard the the EVC displays fading. Have had occasions where the contrast needs adjusting though.

Is it possible this is what is happening?
