Whenever I sail on the port tack, the cushions for the dinette slide off onto the cabin sole. If I've forgotten to isolate the water tank it trie to empty into the sink, sometimes soaking the wandering cushions - especially if the sink seacock is closed!

I was thinkinking of getting some awning track and tape from the caravan shop and using it to attach the vertical ends of the cushions and fore and aft outboard ends of the seat squabs. I just wondered if anyone has tried this and if there are any disadvantages I should try to avoid?

Rob.

Mine are held in place with strips of velcro on the cushion bottom and matching strips on the locker lids underneath. has worked OK so far.

Velcro works fine for me. Our saloon side lockers, eight in all, are open bins with cushions over the openings. These are all held on by velcro, top and bottom. Over the years we have added more velcro and now they are very secure. Vertical and horizontal seat cushions all held by Velcro and I don't remember one ever falling off. Don't be tempted to buy those round, plastic velcro-like fixings that screw on to wooden battens. They are rubbish.
