Over in Texas in 1942 a man stored a Snipe dinghy, built in 1931, in the attic of a warehouse so he could go off to fight in the US Navy. He never returned to collect it and it stayed there until the building was sold recently. Jim Loudermilk was allowed to check out the rumour about a dinghy in the attic of the building. It was given to Jim on condition he removed it and he was to fully restore it. There is also a short video in the link.
