As I mentioned in last posting, I have completed the re-planking, my intention is not to paint until next spring. Any advice/tips on what to do with the bare planking in the interim i.e. prime, apply a number of coats or ?
FWIW, I'd prime the wood - a couple of coats just to help keep the moisture content stable and preserve the new wood. After all, your plans might hit a hiccup and you may leave the job standing for a lot longer than you planned.
My 2 peneth - I'd add a light coat of gloss to keep the moisture content at bay still further. You can always sand back, advisable anyway, when coming to do the top coats.
