Resnova

Often looked and wondered about trying it but always assumed the prices would be silly. Noticed it was shut last time we were there and IIRC they aren't advertising in this year's harbour guide.

Doubt we'll be bothering them much this year since they jacked up the mooring charges. Worse than Salcombe now!

It closed down on Halloween last year, shame it isn't around although i never went there much. Went to auction at christie's for about 400k and didn't sell.

Going for about 150k now I hear on the grapevine. Its not long been refurbished inside and looks great. I think the hull is getting pretty thin now though. Could be a good business for someone at the right price, you just need people to make the 'leap' of leaving the shore.

I have often looked but never visited. I always assumed it would be very expensive and thought it would be a bit embarrassing to go aboard then decide the prices were too steep and have to climb back in the dinghy. Worse still to use their free taxi service and ask to be taken back without eating.

Well if they don't have the wit to advertise a typical menu with prices to get people on board, I'm not surprised people don't go.

I used to nip in for a drink (using my own tender) and they were always laid back about it and seemed happy to operate as a bar. It was a nice place to sit on a sunny evening. I never ate there though I may have had a lunchtime snack once.

I recall that the original owners put in a lot of hard work, then there was a drowning tragedy involving a small child and that was the end of them.
