As some of you already know, my company has gone down the pan and I have had no work for a while (hopefully new job shortly - past 1st interview and fingers crossed). Therefore money has been (and is) a tad tight. I decided to sell my SSB and new ATU (Icom M700(UK) and AT-130). After some negotiation, I promised to sell at an agreed price to a well respected fellow forumite. He wanted to pick it up on 28 Dec, so I kept that day free and spent some money I didnt have on Christmas presents for the family. Came the day and no contact. I eventually got a message from him that he was involved in some way with the Asian disaster but still wanted it. I respected the problem (missing out on 2 other purchasers) I have tried to re-establish contact without success, and recently sent him a pm asking for his intentions. I know the pm was read cause I got a read receipt, but I have had no other message.
My head tells me that this fellow has stitched me up a treat and worsened my financial problems, whilst my sense of honour says that I had promised this man the equipment and the last message I received from him was asking me to keep it for him. What do you recommend that I should do?
