in italy trawlers are often powered by engines suitable for planning hulls...they are very expensive (300l/h) and navigation is not confortable.
i want to repower a SEA RANGER55 with two engine suitable for its displacement hull.
there is a owner of these boat who can tell me the best powering for this displacement hull (10-12 knots)
best regard

I have no knowledge or experience of your Searanger 55 but I did re-engine a displacement boat that we owned in the not too distant past. After extensive research, I eventually settled on a pair of Iveco Aifo units, non-turbo and very lightly stressed. I suspect they will last for ever, unlike so many of the over-developed engines found in planing boats these days. You could do a lot worse than having a look at their range. Good luck.
