In answer to Peter Gaukroger's letter, Ships Monthly 208, the vessel that picked up Donald Crowhursts abandoned trimaran was The Royal Mail vessel Picardy, Capt Richard Box. She was spotted and picked up on July 10th 1969 and was landed at the caribbean port of Santo Domingo on July 16th 1969.
