hi all,
i need to replace the forstay on my yacht, the bit that is confusing me is the different types of wire, there is 1x19, 7x19 and 7x7 listed for stainless could anyone tell me which should be used, i think its the 1x19 but not sure, the wire dia is 5mm, my other question is are the sta loks a reliable way of making the end connection or is it best to stay with swaged terminals.
thanks in anticipation

1 x 19 is the one
7 x 7 is flexible.

Confirm Salorman's comments. Have to admit the first time I used a sta-lock it did worry me a bit ... but that was twenty years ago and zero problem. Now I would use them in preference to swage ... cash permitting.
