replacing perspex in lewmar opening portlight

Has anyone replaced the perspex in lewmar opening portlights? If so, I would be very interested to hear how tricky it is. The portlights in question are the Old Standard type (size 4). It seems the replacement perspex (part number 360019099) is not easy to source (and expensive, if you can). 9mm perspex sheet also seems to be hard but not impossible to find and 0.375 inch sheet may be easier to source and may well work - unless you know better?

Three years ago, I used a tinted perspex shower door from a surplus building supplier. Did all my front windows AND my Lewmar hatches. It was approx 9.5mm and I bonded/sealed it in with Sika 295UV. Luvery juberly;-)

Just done two Old Standard Portlights with replacement acrylic windows supplied by Lewmar. Very easy to do, took about 5 mins each. Only issue I had was how to remove the handles but Lewmar tech dept sent me an exploded diagram and it was simple. However, replacing the seals was another matter. PM me if you want more info.

I've used Eagle Boat Windows on a couple of occasions to rebuild hatches and ports - they do a really professional job and I recommend them although prices seem steep it saves the cost of buying and fitting replacement windows which might not be an exact match. Obviously if you're doing a DIY job then this replys not particularly helpful!
