replacing fuel tanks

Put Boat Safety Scheme into Google and you will find the requirements - and in principle "CE" marked plastic tanks are acceptable. You can check with TekTanks for confirmation.

IMHO Tek Tanks are amomg the best - high quality, made to measure and superior to metal tanks. They also have standard size/shape tanks which are cheaper than custom. They have made water and sewage holding tanks for me and have been very satisfied.

Give them a call, they are very helpful.

I changed a rusty steel tank for a plastic VETUS one - 90litre but on a sailing boat. Should be fine, they are approved for fuel etc. Much better than steel or Ali.

I don't know the reason for your enquiry but we had a sealine 240 with corroded alloy tanks.

Having a bespoke one made is a good option but if you have trouble finding the right dimmensions or would rather salvage your existing tank then vulcanising your existing tank is a very good substitute.

The process is franchised & called Tank RE-NU.

Price includes couriers usually & is a fraction of the replacement cost.
