Hello everyone,
I have a Volvo Penta 2002 engine with a CAV-style diesel filter unit that was installed around 7 years ago. I'm replacing the fuel hose between the filter and the lift pump. The banjo bolt on the lift pump is still in good condition, and I would like to keep using it.
What I need is a suitable banjo fitting (banjo eye) that matches the bolt and allows me to connect a standard 8 mm fuel hose.
Original Volvo Penta hoses are hard to find or too expensive, so I’m considering building my own fuel line using standard parts.
Questions:
What dimensions should I look for in the banjo fitting?
Has anyone here made a similar custom connection?
Any advice, photos, or part numbers would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
