Berthed Ramsgate. I have two coach roof mounted semi flexible Sunware panels that were on the boat when I purchased fourteen years ago!
They’re still operating but I would think in-efficiently in comparison to today’s new technology. Hence, ideally I’d like to replace them with new more efficient panels and hopefully get a bit more into my batteries.
Anyone in this corner of our East Coast able to recommend a reliable marine electrical engineer to assist with supply and fitting of said new replacement panels?
I’m not sure what my current panels are rated at but I don’t imagine they’re big. I have seen max about 2.8 on the Fox350 display. Certainly keeps the batteries happy with trickle charge, but even on very bright summer days they struggle when off grid. You appreciate I’m no electrician and find this subject somewhat a black art, never to be tinkered with.
