Replacement Windows

Can anyone please advise on the suitability of using Makrolon instead of Perspex for replacing the windows on my Fletcher Arrowbeau?

Makralon is a trade name for polycarbonate, Perspex is a trade name for acrylic. Polycarb is soft and scratches very easily ie when cleaning but is much more shatterproof than acrylic which is much harder so wont scratch as easily.
I would thick acrylic may be better for your needs.

Thanks for the response - I will use Perspex then as sand is very abrasive.
